South Korean film Parasite may have swept the Oscars this year but P.L. Thenappan, producer of Tamil film Minsara Kanna, has said that he would sue the makers of the Oscar-winning film. Minsara Kanna was released in 1999 and, according to Thenappan, the story of Parasite is lifted from his film. The credit titles of Minsara Kanna mention only KRG as its producer but Thenappan claims to be its producer also. KRG has since passed away.
