Tamil films’ superstar and now Tamil Nadu chief minister Vijay has announced that he will allow cinemas to conduct five shows a day for the first week of every Tamil film. Cinemas so far conduct four shows daily, with extra shows allowed only during festivals and on holidays.
This directive will eliminate the need for cinemas to seek separate government permission for extra shows.
