Marathi film actress Deepali Sayyad is contesting the upcoming Assesmbly elections in Maharashtra from Mumbra-Kalwa. She had unsuccessfully contested the Lok Sabha polls on an AAP ticket but has now joined the Shiv Sena. She is pitted against NCP MLA and former minister Jitendra Awhad. Actor Ajaz Khan will contest the elections from the Byculla seat in Bombay as an independent candidate.
