The Bombay police on 22nd May increased the security cover of Vivek Oberoi following threat perception. The actor had kicked up a storm after he shared a meme on social media which apparently took a jibe at Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The meme was not his creation.
After being trolled, he deleted his post and apologised for it. The meme spoke about Aishwarya’s affair with Salman Khan, then with himself, and finally marriage to Abhishek Bachchan. The trollers criticised Vivek for being insensitive. Objections were also raised over the picture of Aishwarya and Abhishek’s daughter in the meme. On his part, Vivek sought to silence Sonam Kapoor, who called his tweet classless, by telling her not to overact in her films and not to over-react on social media.
