Yash Raj Films is planning to enter the microdrama space to expand its digital presence through a new consumer app. The production house is expected to invest around Rs. 150 crore to develop microdrama content and make a direct-to-consumer platform to host it.
The new vertical will be led by CEO Akshaye Widhani. Saugata Mukherjee, head of content, will oversee creative development in this space too.
