ZAIRA WASIM MOLESTATION CASE: COURT ALLOWS ACCUSED TO BRING WITNESSES | 21 September, 2019

The Protection Of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act court on 19th September granted Vikas Sachdeva permission to bring defence witnesses in the court, in the molestation case filed in December 2017 against him by actress Zaira Wasim. She had accused him of molesting her on a Delhi-Bombay flight while she was travelling with her mother. Sachdeva had denied the allegations but he was arrested in December 2017 itself. He got bail on 20th January, 2018.

The police informed the court last week that they were unable to get in touch with the complainant. She had already deposed as a witness but the prosecution wanted her to complete an aspect of deposition.
