Released last week in Bombay, Delhi-U.P. and East Punjab, PNG Entertainment’s Amar Kahani Ravidas Ji Ki (UA) is the story of saint Ravidas.
Arvind Singh Sirohi’s script is weak and so is his direction. Performances of Sandeep Mohan, Hemant Pandey, Gulshan Pandey, Swati Pahwa and Bhawana Arora are all dull. Ahmed H. Siddiqui’s music and lyrics hardly deserve separate mention. Choreography (by Pravin Bariya and Deepak Sonawane) is nothing to dance about. Alap Desai’s background music is functional. Camerawork (by Pratap Chawdhary) is commonplace. Dinesh Mengade’s editing is loose.
On the whole, Amar Kahani Ravidas Ji Ki is a dull and flop fare.
