BETIYON KI BALLE BALLE | 13 April, 2019

G Nee Entertainment’s Betiyon Ki Balle Balle (UA) is about women empowerment.

Radhika and Kavya are friends. Karan and Malti lure Kavya, and soon, Karan starts blackmailing Kavya by showing her a private video of hers which he has surreptitiously shot.

One day, Bharat saves Kavya and Radhika from further trouble. Bharat is an ex-armyman whose wife and daughter had committed suicide when Chaudhary, Vikram and Ranjeet had tried to kidnap and rape the daughter. Bharat had avenged the deaths of his wife and daughter by killing Vikram, Ranjeet and Chaudhary. Bharat had then served jail time for the murders and after being released, had helped Radhika and Kavya. Kavya’s case reaches the court. While advocate Priti represents Kavya, advocate Irani represents Karan.

Before the judgement can be pronounced, Bharat brings Kavya’s dead body to the court. Bharat tells the court that the legal system in the country was at fault. The need to empower women is underlined in the end.

Manoj Nathwani’s story is silly and hardly impresses. His screenplay is as idiotic as the story. Nothing makes the drama even remotely interesting for the viewers. Manoj Nathwani’s dialogues are dull.

Performances are weak. Jeet Upendra, Sharad Vyas, Feroz Irani, Hemant Jha, Dhavan Mewada and Shruti are dull or, at best, ordinary.

Manoj Nathwani’s direction is terribly weak. D. Sushant’s music and Kafiya’s lyrics hardly add to the film. C.P. Zaveri’s choreography is poor. Cameraman Jodh Singh Pabla’s work hardly deserves separate mention. Shankar Panday’s editing leaves a lot to be desired.

On the whole, Betiyon Ki Balle Balle is a disastrous fare.

Released on 12-4-’19 at Gem (daily 1 show) and other cinemas of Bombay thru Neev Enterprises. Publicity & opening: very weak.
