Columbia Pictures and Amblin Entertainment’s Men In Black: InterÂnational (dubbed from the Hollywood film of the same name) is a science fiction action comedy film.
There’s a branch of Men In Black (MIB) in London now. A new recruit, Molly (Tessa Thompson) joins the London branch as Agent M. High T (Liam Neeson), head of the London branch, pairs her up with Agent H (Chris Hemsworth). Agent H and Agent M become involved in a numÂber of alien attacks. What’s more, there’s a mole to be dealt with in the Men In Black organisation itself.
Matt Holloway and Art Marcum have written a script that’s engaging and interesting in parts only. Although it keeps the audience fairly entertained at places, the consistency of the entertainment quotient is missing.
Chris Hemsworth is very good as Agent H. Indian actor Sidhant ChaturÂvedi’s dubÂbing for him is appropriate. Tessa Thompson performs ably as Agent M. Indian actress Sanya MalÂhotra lends her voice to Tessa’s charÂacter and wonderfully so.
Rebecca Ferguson (as Riza), Rafe Spall (as Agent C), Emma Thompson (as Agent O), Liam Neeson (as Agent High T) and all the other artistes proÂvide fair support.
F. Gary Gray’s direction is alright. Chris Bacon and Danny Elfman’s background music is decent. Stuart Dryburgh’s cinematography is of a fine standard. Production designing (by Charles Wood) is proper. Editing (Zene Baker, Christian Wagner and Matt Willard) should’ve been sharper. Dubbing is very good, overall.
On the whole, Men In Black: InterÂnational is an ordinary entertainer. The original English version will fare better at the box-office.
