How To Enter Bollywood’s Nukkad Naatak (UA) is the story of redemption.
Two best pals — Molshri (Molshri) and Shivay (Shivang Rajpal) — are expelled from college for robbing the college canteen. To get reinstated, they must enrol five slum-dwelling children into a local school. What starts as a desperate deal turns into a journey of chaos and change.
Tanmaya Shekhar’s story and screenplay are ordinary and fail to offer anything novel. The drama is devoid of a strong emotional quotient, because of which it doesn’t hold the viewers’ attention. In other words, the audience watch the proceedings passively rather than getting sucked into them or feeling like a part of them. Tanmaya Shekhar’s dialogues are ordinary.
Molshri does a routine job as Molshri. Shivang Rajpal is ordinary as Shivay. Danish Husain lends nice support. Nirmala Hazra is okay. Others do as desired.
Tanmaya Shekhar’s direction is average. Parthesh Menon’s music and Pahaad’s lyrics are more functional than anything else. The background music hardly deserves special mention. Ihjaz Aziz’s camerawork is below the mark. Production designing (by Shadman Ali and Mehvish Ali) is barely passable. Sruthy Sukumaran’s editing leaves a lot to be desired.
On the whole, Nukkad Naatak is a flop fare.
Released on 27-2-’26 at Metro Inox (daily 1 show) and other cinemas of Bombay thru August Entertainment. Publicity & opening: poor. …….Also released all over. Opening was weak everywhere.
