‘TEEN PAAYANCHA GHODA’ (MARATHI) REVIEW | 7 November, 2025

Darshan Productions Pvt. Ltd., Medium Strong Productions and One Fine Day Pictures’ Teen Paayancha Ghoda (Marathi; A) is the story of three friends.

Adnan (Kunal Shukla) is weak in studies. He lives in Pune with his father (Sandesh Kulkarni), sister (Maithili Patwardhan) and maternal grandfather (Gajanan Paranjape). Adnan’s grandfather has sent Adnan’s father to a rehabilitation centre because of his alcohol addiction. The grandfather threatens to send Adnan out of Pune if he fails in his HSC examinations this year too. To avoid such an eventuality, Adnan’s girlfriend, Chandrika (Ria Nalavade), decides that a fake marksheet would be shown to the grandfather. Rathore (Avinash Londhe) helps in securing a fake marksheet. Adnan’s grandfather is happy, but he soon gets to know that the marksheet shown to him is not genuine. To save his skin, Adnan puts the entire blame on Rathore. Being a retired police commissioner, the grandfather has Rathore arrested. Meanwhile, a misunderstanding between Adnan and Chandrika prompts the latter to contemplate committing suicide. What is the misunderstanding? And what finally happens to Adnam, Chandrika and Rathore?

Yogesh Vinayak Joshi and Noopur Bora have written a weak story which has very silly twists and turns. The duo’s screenplay is one of complete convenience. The climax is terribly dull. Dialogues are okay; some four-letter words will appeal to the masses.

Kunal Shukla acts ably as Adnan. Ria Nalavade performs well in the role of Chandrika. Avinash Londhe is alright as Rathore. Devika Daftardar lends reasonable support as Rathore’s mother. Gajanan Paranjape is alright as Adnan’s grandfather. Sandesh Kulkarni does an ordinary job in a brief role as Adnan’s father. Vikrant Mahale provides routine support as sub-inspector More. Lucky Singh (as Chandrika’s colleague, Dobin), Maithili Patwardhan (as Adnan’s sister, Sampada), Akshay Khadilkar (as the drama director), Isha Karbhari (as Rathore’s date), Akshay Mande (as the molester), Dhanraj Narayankar (as another molester), Anil Sonawane (as the cab driver), Shivani Sonar (as Swapnali), Tushar Tengale (as Tushar), Ranjit Ranadive (as the peon), Chaitanya Deshpande (as Rathore’s friend, Mayur), Vinod Pulawale (as sub-inspector More’s driver) and Rohit Kokate (as the bus driver) lend routine support.

Noopur Bora’s direction is below the mark. Bhushan Mate’s music is so-so and so are Yogesh Vinayak Joshi’s lyrics. Chlk-wrk’s background music is routine. Cinematography (by Suhas Desale and Rushi Tambe) is alright. Vijay Dahiya’s action and stunt scenes are not very exciting. Production designing (by Mangesh Bhayde and Rushi Tambe) and art direction (by Santosh Sankhad and Nilesh Chaudhary) are alright. Editing (Makarand Dambhare and Suhas Desale) is loose.

On the whole, Teen Paayancha Ghoda is a poor fare.

Released on 7-11-’25 at Metro Inox (daily 1 show) and other cinemas of Bombay thru August Entertainment. Publicity & opening: dull.
