‘THE SECOND WIND’ REVIEW | 6 February, 2026

Sweekaar Productions ‘ The Second Wind is a story of hope and resilience. It follows two athletes, a cancer survivor and a national swimmer. They face setbacks, fall apart but fight back.

Indira Baikerikar and Kundan Vidyarthi’s story is of the kind one has seen in earlier films too. Also, it is meant more for the festival circuit audience. Indira Baikerikar’s screenplay is dull and boring. The emotional quotient, which should have been the strong point of the drama, is missing. Dialogues, penned by Indira Baikerikar and Kundan Vidyarthi, are routine.

Mallika Baikerikar fails to impress. Indira Baikerikar is not up to the mark. Nandinee Khosla is barely so-so. Mayura Shivalkar just about passes muster. Syed Mohammed is ordinary. Hiral Manwani delivers a routine performance.

Indira Baikerikar’s direction is weak. Abhijit Vivek’s camerawork is below the mark. Sujid Lad’s editing is loose.

On the whole, The Second Wind has nothing to sustain at the box-office.

Released on 6-2-’26 at Glamour (daily 1 show) and another cinema of Bombay thru August Entertainment. Publicity & opening: poor. …….Also released all over. Opening was weak everywhere.
