Jigra could not perform satisfactorily in the first week. Collections in single-screen cinemas and centres other than the big cities were very dull. The film netted only Rs. 16 crore in the first weekend, and another Rs. 6 crore during the weekdays. In this way, the first week closed at a poor Rs. 22 crore only.
Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video could not repeat the magic of Raaj Shaandilya’s earlier directorial ventures, Dream Girl and Dream Girl 2. The film collected Rs. 18 crore in the opening weekend, and a further Rs. 8 crore during the weekdays. Hence the first week closed at Rs. 26 crore only.
Vettaiyan The Hunter (dubbed) did average business in some centres while underperforming at others. The net result was not up to the mark.
