All the new releases of this week, including GAME CHANGER (Hindi dubbed) and FATEH, disappointed as far as initials were concerned. The reports of the films are not exciting enough to warrant a huge jump in collections.
Kraven The Hunter (dubbed and the original English versions) could not do much after a dull start on January 1 (Wednesday). In fact, collections crashed after the first two days. Following a total collection of Rs. 0.80 crore for the first two days, it netted only Rs. 0.90 crore in the first week. Grand total for 9 days: Rs. 1.70 crore.
Pyar Mein Qurban met with a disastrous fate in 1st week all over.
The Rabbit House proved to be a non-starter in the first week. It collected very poorly all through the week.
Baby John nose-dived in the second week. It netted barely Rs. 2.60 crore in 2nd week. Grand total for 2 weeks: Rs. 34.60 crore. It is out of almost all the cinemas.
Marco (dubbed) was rock-steady in its third week. Rather, it collected slightly better in 3rd week than in its second week. It netted Rs. 4.75 crore in 3rd week, taking its grand total for 3 weeks to Rs. 9.57 crore.
Mufasa: The Lion King (animation; dubbed and the original English versions) dropped more than 70% in 3rd week. It netted approximately Rs. 12.75 crore in the third week. Grand total for 3 weeks: Rs. 117.75 crore.
Pushpa: The Rule Part 2 (Hindi dubbed) did fairly well in the fifth week too in spite of a noticeable drop. It netted Rs. 2.50 crore on the first day of the fifth weekend. Collections on Saturday and Sunday were Rs. 4 crore and Rs. 4.75 crore respectively, taking the fifth weekend total to Rs. 11.25 crore. Collections for the weekdays were: Monday – Rs. 1.95 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 1.60 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 1.50 crore, Thursday – Rs. 1.45 crore. In this way, the total for the weekdays was Rs. 6.50 crore. Hence the total for 5th week was Rs. 17.75 crore. Grand total for 5 weeks: Rs. 750 crore.
Moana 2 (animation; dubbed and the original English versions) is in its last lap. In its sixth week, it netted around Rs. 0.60 crore, taking its grand total for 6 weeks to Rs. 28.95 crore.
Mukkam Post Bombilwadi (Marathi) did average business in the first week in Maharashtra.
