After the Uttar Pradesh government’s move to have its own Film City, it is the turn of the Chhattisgarh government to think on similar lines. The Chhattisgarh Tourism Board will hold a pre-NIT (Notice Inviting Tender) conference with prospective bidders for the Film City on 21st March in Raipur at its office.
The intention is to develop a Film City in an area of approximately 100 acres on Public Private Partnership (PPP) basis in Raipur. The project cost is estimated to be Rs. 350 crore.
Interested investors and sector experts can attend the conference, where they will be shown the proposed project components at the Film City and what the authority expects from the project. An open forum will be conducted for assessment of additional components which can be proposed at the proposed site by the investors and sector experts. A site visit can also be done.
Based on the inputs, comments and suggestions received, a tender will be prepared and floated.
