SHILPA SHETTY, RAJ KUNDRA CHEATING CASE: HC SEEKS COPY OF TRANSLATED F.I.R. | 11 November, 2025

The Bombay high court on November 10 sought a translated (in English) copy of an FIR filed this year with the Juhu (Bombay) police station against actress Shilpa Shetty and her husband, Raj Kundra, for an alleged cheating case involving Rs. 60 crore. The court adjourned the couple’s petitions seeking quashing of the FIR and criminal probe by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) to November 20.

The two quashing petitions, filed separately by Shilpa and Raj, argue that the civil dispute was being given a criminal colour, which would lead to a “gross miscarriage of justice and violation of fundamental rights”.

In 2014, Kundra and Shetty set up a company, and the FIR alleges that the complainant transferred Rs. 60 crore in tranches in 2015-16 as an “investment” on the assurance of it being treated as a “loan”.
