Producer-director Rajiv Rai’s Trimurti Films Pvt. Ltd. has sought damages of Rs. 10 crore from Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions in a copyright infringement case. Trimurti has approached the Bombay high court against Dharma, alleging that it (Dharma) infringed Trimurti’s copyright over the Saat samundar paar song of Vishwatma, in Dharma Productions’ Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri.

Trimurti has also sought a permanent injunction to restrain use of the song including its tune and lyrics for any exploitation or remix in the film slated for release on December 25 or in any other film.
