The Kerala International Film Festival has decided not to screen six films — All That’s Left Of You, Yes!, Clash, A Poet: Unconcealed Poetry, Eagles Of The Republic and Flames — following objections by the ministry of external affairs.
The MEA had objected to six films but three of them — Eagles Of The Republic , A Poet: Unconcealed Poetry and Flames — had already been screened. Their further screenings were stopped.
The decision to cancel the screenings of the six films was taken in the national interest after warnings of legal action and potential strains on India’s foreign policy, said festival organiser Kerala State Chalachitra Academy’s chairman Resul Pookutty.
