LATEST POSITION | 3 January, 2026 ‘DHURANDHAR’ WAVE CONTINUES UNABATED

IKKIS opened to fair houses on Thursday (1st January) but the reports were not too encouraging. After a first day net total of Rs. 4.50 crore, collections dropped to Rs. 3.25 crore on Friday.

Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri did below average business in 1st week. After a slow start on Thursday (Christmas), the film netted only Rs. 4.50 crore on Friday. Collections on Saturday went up to Rs. 5.50 crore. The giveaway was the Sunday total (Rs. 5 crore) which was less than the Saturday total. After a three-day weekend total of only Rs. 15 crore, the film did not even show much improvement on New Year’s eve and New Year’s day! It netted as follows on the weekdays: Monday – Rs. 1.35 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 1.35 crore, Wednesday (New Year’s eve) – Rs. 1.50 crore, Thursday (New Year’s day) – Rs. 1.75 crore. With the total for the weekdays being Rs. 5.95 crore, the first week closed at Rs. 20.95 crore. Considering the collections of 8 days, the film’s total was Rs. 26.20 crore.

Vrusshabha (dubbed) failed miserably in the first week.

Anaconda (dubbed and the original English versions) could not do too well in the first week. After a net total of Rs. 1.25 crore on the first day (Thursday, December 25), it netted only Rs. 2.50 crore from Friday to Sunday. The total for the weekdays was Rs. 1.25 crore, taking the grand total for 8 days to Rs. 5 crore.

Avatar: Fire And Ash (dubbed and the original English versions) did fairly well in the second week. It started the second week with a take of Rs. 9 crore on Friday. Collections on Saturday jumped to Rs. 11.50 crore. The total for Sunday was Rs. 12 crore. Therefore, the total for the second weekend was Rs. 32.50 crore. Collections for the weekdays were: Monday – Rs. 6 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 6.30 crore, Wednesday (New Year’s eve) – Rs. 6.50 crore, Thursday (New Year’s day)- Rs. 7.75 crore. With the total for the weekdays being Rs. 26.55 crore, the second week closed at Rs. 59.05 crore. Grand total for 2 weeks: Rs. 167.05 crore.

Dhurandhar continued its hold on the box-office like few films have in the past done. It started its fourth weekend with a net collection of Rs. 15 crore! Collections on Saturday increased to Rs. 19.50 crore. The total for Sunday was Rs. 21.25 crore. After an earth-shattering total of Rs. 55.75 crore in the fourth weekend, collections for the weekdays were again mesmerising: Monday – Rs. 10 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 10.75 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 9.90 crore, Thursday (New Year’s day) – Rs. 14.75 crore. Hence the total for the weekdays was an astounding Rs. 45.40 crore. In this way, the fourth week closed at Rs. 101.15 crore. Grand total for 4 weeks: Rs. 701.15 crore. It is around Rs. 60 crore away from surpassing the biggest Hindi blockbuster ever, Pushpa: The Rule Part 2 (dubbed).

Zootopia 2 (animation; dubbed and the original English versions) reaped the benefit of the festive Christmas season by doing better in its fifth week than the fourth week! It added Rs. 2.25 crore to its kitty in 5th week, taking its grand total for 5 weeks to Rs. 26.25 crore.

Gotya Gangster (Marathi) did poor in 1st week all over Maharashtra.
