Days after ace singer Arijit Singh announced his retirement from playback singing, he had a surprise visitor in Aamir Khan today (February 2). The ace actor today visited Arijit’s home at Jiaganj in Murshidabad (West Bengal). Videos of Aamir have gone viral, prompting speculation about whether it is just a courtesy visit or if the star has gone there to prevail upon the singer to change his mind about quitting playback singing. Or perhaps, Aamir may be wanting Arijit to lend his voice to a song for one of his production ventures.
A couple of days back, music director and filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj had shared a video in which he called Arijit Singh’s decision “unacceptable”. Arijit’s latest rendition for Vishal is a song for his forthcoming film, O’Romeo. In a post on social media, Vishal had written: “Hey Arijit… Till a few days back while we were jamming on this song (you were shooting the video), I didn’t know that this will be my one of the last film songs with you. This is unfair… #TakeBackYourSanyaas. It’s unacceptable.”
