In a watershed moment for the music industry of India, the Indian Singers And Musicians Rights Association (ISAMRA) has distributed Rs. 100 crore in royalties to 26,000 singers and musicians. Singer Sonu Nigam described the development as the culmination of a sustained struggle within the fraternity. “Our decades-long battle for royalties pays off,” said Sonu.
