Nand Kishore Goenka, father of media magnate Subhash Chandra and grandfather of Punit Goenka, passed away today (13th July) in Bombay. He was 95.
His last rites will be performed on the morning of 15th July at Goenka Udyan at Agroha (district Hisar in Haryana). His mortal remains have been kept today till 9 p.m. at his residence at Vasant Sagar, Marine Drive in Bombay for final viewings and respects.
Nand Kishore Goenka was deeply dedicated to community welfare, cow protection, and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). He started his career in the business of trading in food grains in Hisar before the family business later expanded into the media and entertainment conglomerate led by his son. Besides his business, he was highly respected for his tireless efforts to unite the Vaishya community and for his significant role in the development of the historic Agroha region
