Filmmaker Sharan Sharma got married to actress Akansha Ranjan Kapoor on 11th July in Bombay at a star-studded ceremony. Sharan Sharma, who has directed Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl and Mr. & Mrs. Mahi, both for Dharma Productions, is the son of well-known television producer-director Sanjeev Sharma. Akansha is the daughter of producer-actor Shashi Ranjan.
The wedding celebrations started on 10th and wrapped up on 12th with a very well-organised wedding reception at Hotel JW Marriott. Among those who were seen at the reception were Alia Bhatt, Mukesh Bhatt, Soni Razdan, Bobby Deol, Vaani Kapoor, Shatrughan Sinha, Sonakshi Sinha, Jeetendra, Jackie Shroff, Randeep Hooda, Sonu Nigam, Neena Gupta, Mahima Chaudhry, Anusha Dandekar, Manali Santoshi, David Dhawan and Amol Parashar. The celebrations on 10th and 11th were also well attended by stars and other celebrities from the film industry.
