Actor Ajaz Khan was arrested on 18th July for uploading a communally incendiary video on a popular website, which could’ve led to communal tension. The cyber police station registered a First Information Report against him a day earlier after they received a complaint. The cyber police also received a few videos of the actor, which have gone viral on social media. The videos reportedly contained objectionable content to promote enmity between different religious groups.
Ajaz was produced before the Esplanade court on 19th. He had been booked under IPC sections 34 and 153(A) and under IT Act section 67.
