SALMAN’S QUICKIE REMAKE | 7 October, 2019

Salman Khan will indeed have a film to release on Eid next year. Work on remaking Korean film The Outlaws has already started in right earnest. The remake will be directed by Prabhu Deva who is currently directing the superstar in Dabangg 3. An insider revealed that shooting will begin soon after the release of Dabangg 3 as time to make and promote the film is very short. The insider also said that the Korean film is being rewritten completely as otherwise, it cannot be Indianised. That is to say, The Outlaws is being rewritten while retaining the crux of the story. The remake has been titled Radhe and this film will see the director-choreographer and the hero collaborating for the third time. Prabhu Deva first directed Salman in Wanted.

It may be recalled that following the shelving of Salman’s In-shaa-Allah by its maker, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the superstar had around five weeks back announced that he would definitely come with a film on Eid 2020. In-shaa-Allah was supposed to have been his festive release next year but that was not to be. This announcement by Salman had set tongues wagging about whether the release of Dabangg 3 had been postponed from December 20, 2019 to Eid next year. But that was a mere rumour as Dabangg 3 will come on the scheduled date. People also speculated about Kick 2 being the film the actor was referring to. An insider revealed that Salman was referring to the remake of The Outlaws when he tweeted that he would bring a film on Eid next year.
