GUJARAT GOVT. ISSUES SHOOTING GUIDELINES POST-LOCKDOWN | 7 June, 2020

The Gujarat government has issued guidelines for shooting in the state after the lockdown is lifted. The government notification says:

“Due to coronavirus, there was a complete lockdown all over the country, hence in Unlock-1 , the permission for shooting has been given by government of Gujarat, department of Information and Broadcasting, with order number film/102020/999/a dated 4th June, 2020.

“Due to breakdown of coronavirus pandemic, Government of India has applied lockdowns all over the country. Due to this, all the businesses, educational institutes, religious places, multiplexes, hotels, malls, halls, gyms, sports complexes etc. were completely shut. Only essential services were excluded in these lockdowns. So, shootings of films, serials, web series etc. were also banned, obviously.

“As per guidelines of Home Ministry, Government of India, number 40-3/2020/DM-1(A) dated 30th May, 2020 and guidelines for phased reopening Unlock-1, permission has been given for all activities in non-containment zones (except the activities shown in phase 1, phase 2 and phase 3). According to this, Government of Gujarat is hereby giving permission for shooting of films, television serials, web series etc.”

ORDER 

Referring to above, Government of Gujarat is hereby giving permission for shooting with reference to order number 40-3/2020/DM-1(A) dated 30th May, 2020 by Home Ministry, Government of India with following terms and conditions:

(1) One must obey the guidelines issued by Home Ministry, Government of India, number 40-3/2020/DM-1(A) dated 30th May, 2020. They must be followed in future also, as and when issued.

(2)  District collector and Magistrate permission must be taken for shooting purposes.

(3) Usual guidelines must be followed for shooting, i.e. permission from Corporation, City police, Traffic police, Tourism, Archaeology department, etc. must be taken.

(4) No one from Containment zone will be allowed for shooting activities.

(5) Social distancing and other guidelines and SOP of COVID-19, given by Government of India, must be followed.

(6) The rules, given by local officials at the time of shooting, must be followed.

(7) Mask, gloves, sanitisation, social distancing etc. must be taken care of.

(8) The producer must have all the information about nearest health centre, hospital, doctor, ambulance etc. 

(9) Every crew member must have downloaded Aarogya Setu app in his mobile. Also, the blue tooth must be on all the time.

(10) PPE kit must be worn by make-up artiste. While doing make-up, no one should be near the artiste and make-up artiste.

(11) Non-flammable sanitiser must be used on sets.

(12) The scenes where many people are involved, say, dance, fight, party, function etc. cannot be shot.

(13) The artistes can remove mask only and only when they are giving take and are in front of the camera. All the crew members and artistes must wear their masks throughout.

This order is issued on 3rd June, 2020, based on Guidelines by Home Ministry, Government of India, by the Governor of Gujarat.
