Noted Malayalam film writer and director K. Satchidanandan passed away at a private hospital in Thrissur yesterday (18th June) around 11.36 a.m. He was 48. He was cremated this (19th June) afternoon.
He had been admitted to the Jubilee Mission Hospital on 16th June after he suffered a heart attack. He was on a ventilator since then. His last film, Ayyappanum Koshiyum, was released just before the COVID-19 lockdown and had done very well at the box-office. His debut film was Anarkali (2015).
Satchidanandan was a criminal lawyer by qualification. He entered the film industry as a writer with Sethunath for Chocolate in 2007.
