Five doctors of Cooper Hospital, who had signed the post-mortem examination report of Sushant Singh Rajput in June, are being relentlessly harassed on social media. Their names, phone numbers and a copy of the autopsy report have been made public by the trolls who have alleged that the doctors had taken a bribe to declare that Sushant had committed suicide. Not just that, many members of the public began calling up the hospital to abuse the five doctors. The recordings of these calls have also been posted on social media so that others can harass the doctors in a similar fashion. The trolls are demanding cancellation of the licences of the doctors, charging them with murder, and closure of the hospital itself.
The hospital authorities said, the five doctors were petrified of filing a police complaint for fear of being subjected to further harassment. Sushant had allegedly ended his life on 14th June at his flat at Bandra in Bombay. The Cooper Hospital report mentioned “asphyxia due to hanging” as the cause for his death. The actor’s family has questioned why the time of death was missing from the autopsy report. The time of death is normally mentioned in the report. In July, the Forensic Science Laboratory at Kalina in Bombay ruled out homicide, saying that there was no trace of any harmful or toxic chemicals and/or drugs in Sushant’s viscera samples.
