Warner Bros. on 3rd December announced that it will make all its 2021 films available in cinemas and on the HBO Max streaming platform on the same day, as a strategy to combat the coronavirus pandemic which had greatly affected box-office collections. The studio’s films which are slated for the double-platform simultaneous release next year include Godzilla Vs. Kong, Mortal Kombat, The Suicide Squad and a Matrix sequel. The strategy would be used for a year as it was a response to the unique challenges thrown by the pandemic, a spokesman of Warner said.
