Actor Yograj Singh, father of cricketer Yuvraj Singh, has been removed from The Kashmir Files. Producer-director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri terminated his services from the film as he had recently made an allegedly hateful speech last week with reference to the ongoing farmers’ protest on the Delhi borders over the farm bills. Punjab BJP general secretary Subhash Sharma had said that the comments made by Yograj Singh demeaned womanhood in its entirety. He had demanded that Singh should be arrested immediately as he had behaved “like a street rogue” while addressing farmers.
The termination of the actor’s services from the film was effected in view of breach by him of clause 4.2.13 of his contract of service. The said clause provided that “the artist shall not behave in such a manner as to offend the community or public morals and shall at all times throughout the engagement of his services respect public conventions and morals.
