MALAYALAM FILM ACTOR-WRITER MADAMPU KUNJUKUTTAN DIES OF COVID | 12 May, 2021

Malayalam film actor-writer and novelist Madampu Kunjukuttan passed away yesterday (11th May) in a hospital in Thrissur of COVID-19. He was 80 and was married to late Savithri Antharjanam. He is survived by two daughters.

Among the films for which he wrote the screenplays were Santham, Karunam (for which he won the National Award for best screenplay in 2000), Parinamam, Deshadanam and Makalkku. He also wrote several novels and short stories. Madampu hosted the popular Malayalam TV show E4Elephant.
