Although Bollywood was probably waiting for cinemas in Maharashtra to reopen before announcing the new releases, Hollywood films have already finalised their release dates.
On Thursday, August 5 will now release Warner Bros.’ The Suicide Squad 2. It will release in the international markets too on the same day. It stars Margot Robbie, Idris Elba, John Cena, Sylvester Stallone and Viola Davis. This film is dubbed in Hindi also. In the same week (on August 6) will release Promising Young Woman.
Before that, on July 30 (tomorrow), Warner will release its Mortal Kombat. Point to note that the film had been released in the South Indian territories on April 23, 2021, but it is being released in the rest of India tomorrow. It is dubbed in Hindi too.
Warner’s The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It will hit the screens on 13th August. Hollywood film Old will also release on 13th. On the same day will release The Croods: A New Age. All the three films will release in English as well as Hindi (dubbed).
Universal’s Fast & Furious 9: The Fast Saga, which was to have been the first major release post-reopening by hitting the screens on 5th August, has been postponed to 19th August. Of course, the franchise film is in Hindi (dubbed) too.
In the following week (on 27th August) are scheduled three films: Reminiscence, Boss Baby: Family Business and Nobody. Of these, only Nobody is dubbed in Hindi.
Candyman and Respect will hit the screens on September 3. A week later, on September 10, will come Malignant.
