Aryan Khan, son of superstar Shah Rukh Khan, will have to stay at Arthur Road jail for six more days as the special court today (October 14) did not grant him any relief in his bail application in the drugs case but reserved the order till October 20. Aryan was sent to judicial custody on October 7 after he was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau during a raid on board a cruise liner from Bombay to Goa on October 2.
Aryan’s lawyer, Amit Desai, referred to his client’s constitutional rights as he pushed for his bail. However, the NCB told the special court that evidence showed that Aryan was a regular consumer of drugs since three years. The agency added that Aryan’s friend, Arbaz Merchant, had been found to possess contraband on October 2, which was for the consumption of both of them.
