Jacqueline Fernandez was on 5th December stopped by immigration officials at the Bombay airport due to a look out circular (LOC). The Enforcement Directorate had opened an LOC against her in the Sukesh Chandrasekar case.
Jacqueline was on her way to Dubai for a show. She was told to appear before the agency in Delhi. The ED will issue fresh summons to Jacqueline today (6th).
The ED has filed a chargesheet in a Delhi court against conman Sukesh Chandrasekar and others in a Rs. 200-crore money laundering case, alleging that he extorted Rs. 200 crore from a businessman’s wife while he was lodged in the Tihar jail. It has evidence showing that there were financial transactions between Sukesh and Jacqueline. It is also alleged that a horse valued at Rs. 52 lakh and a Persian cat worth Rs. 9 lakh were among the gifts given by Sukesh to the actress. In all, he gave her gifts worth Rs. 10 crore, the chargesheet mentions.
