The Malwani (Bombay) police have issued summons to two out of four individuals accused by actress Gehana Vasisht of usurping her flat at Malad in Bombay. An FIR had been filed in this connection at the Malwani police station last month. Gehana had stated that she had given her flat on rent to a woman through a broker in 2019. In January 2021, she was informed by a resident of the housing society that the woman living in her flat had sub-let the house to another family. When Gehana visited her flat, the family living there demanded a sum of Rs. 17 lakh for vacating the property which, incidentally, the actress had purchased for Rs. 58 lakh in 2018.
