Actress Nimrat Kaur’s late father, Major Bhupender Singh’s bronze bust was unveiled recently by his — 64 Assault Engineer Regiment — in Patiala at the Heritage Hall, to honour his sacrifice for the country. Major Singh was martyred on 23rd January, 1994, after being kidnapped by terrorists in Kashmir. He was awarded the Shaurya Chakra posthumously.
