The Valiv police in Vasai (Palghar district) on December 25 arrested actor Sheezan Khan in connection with the suicide of his ex-girlfriend, actress Tunisha Sharma. He was booked under section 306 of the Indian Penal Code for abetment to suicide. He was produced before a local court soon after his arrest. The court remanded him to three days’ police custody.
Tunisha ended her life on December 24 on the set of TV serial Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul. The police have filed an abetment to suicide case against Khan. According to them, the recent split between the two may have led Tunisha to take the extreme step.
The police have sought the call details reports of the phones of both the actors to examine the WhatsApp messages exchanged between the two. Investigations are on.
