Popular South language film actress Amala Paul was denied entry into the Thiruvairanikkulam Mahadeva Temple at Aluva in Kochi (Kerala) on 16th January, citing the custom which allows only Hindus inside the temple. The actress was forced to offer prayers from the road in front of the temple.
