The CBI has filed an FIR against IRS officer Sameer Wankhede for allegedly seeking a bribe of Rs. 25 crore from the owners of Cordelia cruise. For the uninitiated, Wankhede was the Bombay zonal head of the Narcotics Control Bureau, when he raided the Cordelia cruise in 2021, and arrested Shah Rukh Khan’s son, Aryan Khan, and others in a drugs bust case.
While Aryan was acquitted of all the drug charges, Sameer Wankhede, who was responsible for his arrest, now finds himself in the dock.
