A Delhi court on November 7 granted singer-rapper Honey Singh and his wife, Shalini Talwar, divorce. The divorce ended the two-and-a-half years’ legal battle between Honey and his wife.
The court earlier asked Honey Singh whether he wished to give the marriage another chance to which he replied in the negative. Honey’s wife had levelled allegations of domestic violence against him and had said that she lived in fear as she had been subjected to mental, physical, emotional, sexual and economic violence by the singer and his family.
Following the divorce, both the parties reached a settlement and withdrew the allegations made against each other. The terms of settlement were kept in a sealed envelope.
