LATEST POSITION | 21 June, 2025 ‘SITAARE ZAMEEN PAR’ OFF TO GREAT START, SET TO GROW MORE

This week’s SITAARE ZAMEEN PAR was off to a great start after not-so-good footfalls in the early shows. But collections picked up as the day progressed. With the word of mouth being terrific, collections are bound to grow phenomenally today (Saturday). In fact, the jump in collections on the second day may be historic. In other words, no earlier Hindi film, which has opened at more than Rs. 5 crore on the first day, may have seen such a huge jump (as SITAARE ZAMEEN PAR will see).  

Second Chance met with a disastrous fate in the first week.

How To Train Your Dragon (dubbed and the original English versions) performed decently in 1st week. After collecting Rs. 0.21 crore on Thursday (June 12), it netted Rs. 2.13 crore on Friday. Collections shot up to Rs. 4 crore on Saturday, and further to Rs. 4.44 crore on Sunday. Hence the total for the first 4-day weekend was Rs. 10.78 crore. Collections for the weekdays were: Monday – Rs. 1.12 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 1.24 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 1.05 crore, Thursday – Rs. 1.05 crore. Therefore, the total for the weekdays was Rs. 4.46 crore. In this way, the first 8-day week closed at Rs. 15.24 crore.

From The World Of John Wick: Ballerina (dubbed and the original English versions) did fairly well in the first week. After collecting Rs. 0.50 crore on Thursday (June 12), it netted approximately Rs. 6.50 crore in the next three days, taking the total for its first 4-day weekend to Rs. 7 crore. It collected another Rs. 2.90 crore during the weekdays. In this way, the first 8-day week closed at Rs. 9.90 crore.

Housefull 5 faced a marked fall in collections in 2nd week. The second weekend started with a collection of Rs. 5.25 crore on Friday. Collections on Saturday increased to Rs. 8.75 crore while the figure for Sunday was Rs. 10.25 crore. After a second weekend total of Rs. 24.25 crore, collections for the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 2.75 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 3 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 2 crore, Thursday – Rs. 2 crore. Hence the total for the weekdays was Rs. 9.75 crore. In this way, the second week closed at Rs. 34 crore. Grand total for 2 weeks: Rs. 144 crore.

Karate Kid: Legends (dubbed and the original English versions) is in its last lap. It added only around Rs. 0.30 crore to its kitty in 3rd week. Grand total for 3 weeks: Rs. 8.25 crore.

Bhool Chuk Maaf collected around Rs. 1.60 crore in the fourth week. Hence the grand total for 4 weeks went up to Rs. 42.30 crore. However, if the block (corporate) bookings of the first two weeks are taken into account, the total for 4 weeks was Rs. 66.30 crore.

Lilo & Stitch (dubbed and the original English versions) added only Rs. 0.45 crore to its kitty in the fourth week. Hence the grand total for 4 weeks was Rs. 6.80 crore.

Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning (dubbed and the original English versions) dropped about 60% in 5th week. It collected approximately Rs. 2.45 crore in the fifth week. Grand total for 5 weeks: Rs. 109.41 crore.

Final Destination: Bloodlines (dubbed and the original English versions) started its fifth weekend with a take of Rs. 0.18 crore on Friday. Collections on Saturday and Sunday increased to Rs. 0.39 crore and Rs. 0.40 crore respectively. After a fifth weekend total of Rs. 0.97 crore, collections for the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 0.12 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 0.14 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 0.12 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.11 crore. Hence the total for the weekdays was Rs. 0.49 crore. Therefore, the total for 5th week was Rs. 1.46 crore. Grand total for 4 weeks: Rs. 60.77 crore.

Raid 2 netted only Rs. 1.15 crore in 7th week. Grand total for 7 weeks: Rs. 161.75 crore.

Aambat Shoukin (Marathi) flopped in 1st week all over Maharashtra.

Shaatir: The Beginning (Marathi) fared poorly in the first week all over Maharashtra.

Nibaar (Marathi) faced rejection in the first week in Maharashtra.

Jarann (Marathi) fared better in the second week than first week all over Maharashtra.

Jalso (Gujarati), made at a heavy budget, did not do well in the first week in Gujarat and Saurashtra. After a slow start on Friday, collections improved on Saturday and Sunday. But collections during the weekdays were disappointing.
