Son Of Sardaar 2 did not find much acceptance because of which collections crashed during the weekdays after a mediocre first weekend. The film opened to very ordinary houses on the first day which, therefore, closed at Rs. 7 crore. Collections on Saturday totalled Rs. 7.50 crore while Sunday closed at Rs. 8.25 crore. Hence the total for the first weekend was Rs. 22.75 crore. Collections for the weekdays were: Monday – Rs. 2.25 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 2.75 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 2 crore, Thursday – Rs. 1.75 crore. With the total for the weekdays being Rs. 8.75 crore, the first week closed at just Rs. 31.50 crore.
