LATEST POSITION | 11 October, 2025 ‘KANTARA A LEGEND: CHAPTER 1’ (DUBBED) RULES BOX-OFFICE

Kantara A Legend: Chapter 1 (dubbed) ruled the box-office in the first week. The original Kannada version also did fantastic business while the other South language dubbed versions recorded very impressive collections. After netting Rs. 18.50 crore on Thursday (October 2), the Hindi dubbed version  collected Rs. 13.50 crore on Friday. Collections on Saturday and Sunday jumped to Rs. 20 crore and Rs. 23 crore respectively. Hence the total for the first 4-day weekend was Rs. 75 crore. Collections for the weekdays were: Monday – Rs. 8.70 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 11.20 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 8.20 crore, Thursday – Rs. 7 crore. In this way, the total for the weekdays was Rs. 35.10 crore. Therefore, the film netted Rs. 110.10 crore in the first 8-day week. The original Kannada version collected Rs. 124.01 crore in the first 8-day week. The respective 8-day totals for the Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam versions were Rs. 66.10 crore, Rs. 39.83 crore and Rs. 32.20 crore respectively. For all the five versions put together, the grand total was, therefore, Rs. 372.24 crore.

Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari did not find much appreciation from the audience. It did well in some multiplexes of the big cities mainly. Block bookings were resorted to in a bid to window-dress the collections. The film collected Rs. 9.50 crore on Thursday (October 2). Collections dropped to Rs. 5.50 crore on Friday. The total for Saturday was Rs. 6 crore. The film netted Rs. 6.75 crore on Sunday, taking the 4-day weekend total to Rs. 27.75 crore. Collections for the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 2.25 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 2.65 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 1.75 crore, Thursday – Rs. 1.35 crore. Hence the total for the weekdays was Rs. 8 crore. In this way, the first 8-day week closed at Rs. 35.75 crore. If the block bookings are taken into account, the week closed at Rs. 41.50 crore.

Homebound crashed further in 2nd week. Its collections fell by almost 70% over the first week’s collections. It added only Rs. 0.95 crore to its kitty in the second week. Grand total for 2 weeks: Rs. 3.95 crore.

Shin Chan: The Spicy Kasukabe Dancers In India (animation; all dubbed and the original Japanese versions) managed to stay afloat in the second week. The Hindi dubbed version fared the best. It netted around Rs. 1 crore in the second weekend, and another Rs. 0.60 crore during the weekdays. Therefore, the film netted Rs. 1.60 crore in 2nd week. Grand total for 2 weeks: Rs. 6.60 crore.

Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc (animation; Hindi dubbed and the original Japanese versions) dropped markedly in 2nd week. The Hindi dubbed version was rather dull while the original Japanese version just about managed to stay afloat. Its collections totalled only Rs. 0.50 crore. Grand total for 2 weeks: Rs. 4.71 crore.

Jolly LL.B 3 fell dramatically in the third week. Although the film maintained reasonably well in the third weekend in spite of last week’s two major releases, collections came down more noticeably during the weekdays. The third weekend started with a take of Rs. 1.15 crore on Friday. Collections on Saturday rose to Rs. 1.80 crore while the total for Sunday was Rs. 2.10 crore. After a third weekend total of Rs. 5.05 crore, collections for the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 0.65 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 0.85 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 0.50 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.45 crore. Hence the total for the weekdays was Rs. 2.45 crore. In this way, the third week closed at Rs. 7.50 crore. Grand total for 3 weeks: Rs. 108 crore.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba The Movie: Infinity Castle (animation, Hindi dubbed, English dubbed, Tamil dubbed and the original Japanese versions) just about managed to yield shares in the fourth week. It netted Rs. 1 crore in the fourth week, the major contribution coming from the original Japanese version. Grand total for 4 weeks: Rs. 73 crore.

 

Vada Paav (Marathi) did ordinary in 1st week in Maharashtra.

Dashavatar (Marathi) continued its fantastic run in the fourth week too.
