All the releases of last week underperformed at the ticket windows as they found limited or very little appreciation. 

Mrs. Chatterjee Vs Norway was liked only by the elite audience and, therefore, did well mainly in the high-end multiplexes in the first week. It netted Rs. 1.27 crore on the opening day. Collections increased to Rs. 2.26 crore on the second day, and to Rs. 2.89 crore on Sunday, taking the weekend total to Rs. 6.42 crore. Collections for the weekdays were: Monday – Rs. 0.91 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 1.09 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 1.27 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.82 crore. Therefore, the total for the weekdays was Rs. 4.09 crore. In this way, the first week closed at Rs. 10.51 crore.

Zwigato proved to be a damp squib in 1st week. It fared miserably and collected only Rs. 1.50 crore in the first week.

Kabzaa (dubbed) could not do anything worthwhile in its first week. It ended up netting just Rs. 3.25 crore in the first week.

Shubh Nikah turned out to be a resounding flop in 1st week.

Shazam! Fury Of The Gods (dubbed and the original English versions) fared ordinarily in the first week. The net collections for the first week (including paid previews on Thursday) for all the versions was just Rs. 11.38 crore.

Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar did fairly well in 2nd week, dropping around 70%. It performed better in its second week than the new releases of last week performed in their first week. The second weekend started with a take of Rs. 3.50 crore on Friday. Collections increased to Rs. 5.13 crore on Saturday, and further to Rs. 6.26 crore on Sunday. In this way, the total for the second weekend was Rs. 14.89 crore. Collections during the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 2.52 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 3.06 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 3.24 crore, Thursday – Rs. 2.07 crore. After a total of Rs. 10.89 crore for the weekdays, the second week’s total went up to Rs. 25.78 crore. Grand total for 2 weeks: Rs. 108.60 crore.

Pathaan netted Rs. 1.77 crore in its eighth week. Of this, it collected Rs. 0.98 crore (Hindi Rs. 0.95 crore; dubbed Rs. 0.03 crore) in the eighth weekend, and another Rs. 0.79 crore (Hindi Rs. 0.75 crore; dubbed Rs. 0.04 crore) during the weekdays. Therefore, the total for 8th week was Rs. 1.77 crore (Hindi Rs. 1.70 crore; dubbed Rs. 0.07 crore). Grand total for 8 weeks: Rs. 542.75 crore (Hindi Rs. 524.10 crore; dubbed Rs. 18.65 crore).

I Prem U (Marathi) could not do much in the first week all over Maharashtra.

All the five releases of this week — MRS. CHATTERJEE VS NORWAY, ZWIGATO, SHUBH NIKAH, KABZAA (dubbed) and SHAZAM! FURY OF THE GODS (dubbed) — opened poorly yesterday/on Thursday.

Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar did well in the first week but not well enough to justify its heavy cost and its star cast. Although the film will cross the average mark, its heavy cost (due to the Coronavirus lockdowns) and its mixed public reports will be the main cause for its limited profits. The film has been loved by one section of the audience, but another section did not find the first half interesting while liking the second half. The film also suffered quite a lot initially because of its release on a ‘fractured’ holiday. It opened on 8th on account of the Holi festival but, unfortunately for the film, the festival of colours was celebrated in some states the previous day (7th), because of which there was no holiday on the release day in such states. An odd-day release without a holiday can prove to be detrimental to the box-office interests of a film, and that’s what happened to TJMM. It netted Rs. 14.25 crore on the first day (partial holiday on account of Holi). Collections reduced to Rs. 9.50 crore on the second day, and further to Rs. 9.25 crore on the third day. Collections showed a surge on Saturday (Rs. 14.50 crore) and again on Sunday (Rs. 15.75 crore). In this way, the film’s first 5-day weekend closed at Rs. 63.25 crore. Collections on the weekdays were on the lower side: Monday – Rs. 5.50 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 5.20 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 4.85 crore, Thursday – Rs. 4.02 crore. With the total for the weekdays being Rs. 19.57 crore, the first week closed at Rs. 82.82 crore. The second weekend started with a take of Rs. 3.50 crore on Friday.

Lohardaga bombed miserably in its first week.

65 (dubbed and the original English versions) fared poorly in the first week.

Pathaan added Rs. 2.97 crore to its kitty in its 7th week. Of this, Rs. 2.90 crore came from the Hindi version whereas the dubbed versions accounted for Rs. 0.07 crore. Grand total for 7 weeks: Rs. 540.98 crore (Hindi Rs. 522.40 crore; dubbed Rs. 18.58 crore).

TU JHOOTHI MAIN MAKKAAR, which opened on Wednesday (8th March) to take advantage of the Holi holiday, ended up suffering too because some states observed the holiday a day earlier, on 7th. Resultantly, collections in those states on the opening day (8th) were below the mark as it wasn’t a holiday on the day of release. Collections on the second day, as expected, dropped — by 33%. The film fared well in multiplexes but was not up to the mark in single-screen cinemas. The first day’s all-India total, in spite of the ‘fractured’ holiday, was an impressive Rs. 14.25 crore. The net collection figure on Thursday was Rs. 9.50 crore. Friday closed at Rs. 9.25 crore. Collections today (Saturday) have shown a noteworthy jump.

InCar bombed miserably in the first week.

Ghaznavi proved to be a disaster in 1st week.

Selfiee recorded horrendous collections in 2nd week.

Shehzada fared poorly in 3rd week and is on its way out.

Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania (dubbed and the original English versions) is on its last lap. Its third week’s collections were on the lower side. The film collected Rs. 2.50 crore in the third weekend, and another Rs. 1.26 crore during the weekdays. In this way, the film netted Rs. 3.76 crore in the third week. Grand total for 3 weeks: Rs. 41.20 crore.

Pathaan did quite well in its sixth week too. It netted Rs. 5.82 crore (Hindi Rs. 5.65 crore; dubbed Rs. 0.17 crore) in the sixth weekend, and another Rs. 3.30 crore (Hindi Rs. 3.20 crore; dubbed Rs. 0.10 crore) during the weekdays. Its collections got a boost due to the Holi holiday on 7th/8th March. In this way, the total for the sixth week was Rs. 9.12 crore (Hindi Rs. 8.85 crore; dubbed Rs. 0.27 crore). Grand total for 6 weeks: 538.01 crore (Hindi Rs. 519.50 crore; dubbed Rs. 18.51 crore).

Raundal (Marathi) did fair business in parts of Maharashtra in the first week.

Satarcha Salman (Marathi) proved a damp squib in the first week all over Maharashtra.

Masuta (Marathi) flopped in the first week all over Maharashtra.

Selfiee cut a very sorry picture of itself at the box-office in its first week. Starting with a take of just Rs. 2 crore was a nightmare nobody had expected, considering that the film stars Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi, is produced by Karan Johar, and is directed by Raj Mehta. Collections were horrifyingly poor not just on the weekdays but also in the first weekend. The film may end up its lifetime run at Rs. 12-13 crore!

Khela Hobe turned out to be a disaster in 1st week all over.

Shehzada also recorded terribly low collections all over in the second week. The film will wrap up at barely Rs. 31-32 crore!

Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania (dubbed and the original English versions) dropped significantly in the second week. It started the second weekend with a net collection of only Rs. 0.98 crore. The total for Saturday was Rs. 1.94 crore. Collections on Sunday picked up only marginally so that the day closed at Rs. 2.07 crore. Therefore, the total for the second weekend was an unimpressive Rs. 4.99 crore. Collections for the weekdays were rather dull: Monday – Rs. 0.59 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 0.57 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 0.51 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.43 crore. The total for the weekdays was only Rs. 2.10 crore. In this way, the second week closed at Rs. 7.09 crore. Grand total for 2 weeks: Rs. 37.44 crore.

Pathaan added Rs. 8.73 crore (Hindi Rs. 8.55 crore; dubbed Rs. 0.18 crore) to its kitty in 5th week. The film netted Rs. 5.60 crore (Hindi Rs. 5.50 crore; dubbed Rs. 0.10 crore) in the fifth weekend, and another Rs. 3.13 crore (Hindi Rs. 3.05 crore; dubbed Rs. 0.08 crore) during the weekdays. The total for 5 weeks has, therefore, reached Rs. 528.89 crore (Hindi Rs. 510.65 crore; dubbed Rs. 18.24 crore). The Hindi version’s total of Rs. 510.65 crore makes Pathaan the biggest domestic blockbuster in Hindi as it has surpassed the lifetime all-India collection total of Rs. 510 crore of the Hindi dubbed version of Bahubali 2: The Conclusion.

The initial of SELFIEE yesterday (February 24) was extremely shocking. The Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi starrer opened to terribly poor houses (Rs. 2-plus crore only).

Shehzada bombed right from the word ‘go’. The film started pretty slow last week. After a very ordinary first weekend, collections for the weekdays were pathetic. The film netted Rs. 5.75 crore on the first day. Collections on Saturday and Sunday were Rs. 6.25 crore and Rs. 7.15 crore respectively. After a weekend total of only Rs. 19.15 crore, collections for the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 2.25 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 1.80 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 1.55 crore, Thursday – Rs. 1.25 crore. In this way, the film collected Rs. 6.85 crore during the weekdays. Total for 1st week: Rs. 26 crore.

Main Raj Kapoor Ho Gaya… met with a disastrous fate in the first week wherever released.

Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania (dubbed and the original English versions) fared ordinarily in the first week. It started with a take of Rs. 8.10 crore on the first day. Collections increased only marginally, to Rs. 8.50 crore on Saturday, but fell to Rs. 7.50 crore on Sunday. Therefore, the total for the first weekend was Rs. 24.10 crore. The film’s collections slid during the weekdays. It collected Rs. 2.25 crore on Monday, Rs. 1.60 crore on Tuesday, Rs. 1.30 crore on Wednesday, and Rs. 1.10 crore on Thursday. Hence the total for the weekdays was Rs. 6.25 crore. In this way, the first week closed at Rs. 30.35 crore.

Pathaan netted Rs. 14.31 crore in 4th week, taking its grand total to Rs. 520.16 crore. The fourth weekend started with a net collection of Rs. 2.25 crore (Hindi Rs. 2.20 crore; dubbed Rs. 0.05 crore). Collections on Saturday totalled Rs. 3.32 crore (Hindi Rs. 3.25 crore; dubbed Rs. 0.07 crore). The increase on Sunday resulted in a total of Rs. 4.25 crore (Hindi Rs. 4.15 crore; dubbed Rs. 0.10 crore). Therefore, the total for the fourth weekend was Rs. 9.82 crore (Hindi Rs. 9.60 crore; dubbed Rs. 0.22 crore). Collections for the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 1.25 crore (Hindi Rs. 1.20 crore; dubbed Rs. 0.05 crore), Tuesday – Rs. 1.14 crore (Hindi Rs. 1.10 crore; dubbed Rs. 0.04 crore), Wednesday – Rs. 1.08 crore (Hindi Rs. 1.05 crore; dubbed Rs. 0.03 crore), Thursday – Rs. 1.02 crore (Hindi Rs. 1 crore; dubbed Rs. 0.02 crore). With the total for the weekdays being Rs. 4.49 crore (Hindi Rs. 4.35 crore; dubbed Rs. 0.14 crore), the fourth week’s total was Rs. 14.31 crore (Hindi Rs. 13.95 crore; dubbed Rs. 0.36 crore). Grand total for 4 weeks: Rs. 520.16 crore (Hindi Rs. 502.10 crore; dubbed Rs. 18.06 crore). Taking into account the worldwide gross, the film has collected Rs. 1,009 crore in 4 weeks (India Rs. 629 crore; Overseas Rs. 380 crore).

Tarri (Marathi) bombed in the first week all over Maharashtra.

Vash (Gujarati) maintained excellently in 2nd week in most of the major centres of Gujarat.

The poor opening of this week’s SHEHZADA has come as a shock to the exhibition trade which was expecting the Kartik Aaryan starrer to strike gold at the box-office and be a worthy successor to Shah Rukh Khan’s PATHAAN. The turnaround for the industry, which came with Khan’s PATHAAN, could not be carried forward by Aaryan’s SHEHZADA. It will be interesting to watch the Aaryan-Khan clash through the week — Aaryan’s film in its first week versus Khan’s film in its fourth week.

Shiv Shastri Balboa performed miserably in 1st week all over India.

The Tenant (English-Hindi) failed badly in the first week.

Palak bombed terribly in 1st week all over.

Pathaan continued its sway over the box-office in its third week too, adding Rs. 46.95 crore to its kitty and taking its 3-week total to Rs. 505.85 crore. In other words, it joined the Rs. 500-crore club in the third week. Its original (Hindi) version is now short of the lifetime collections of the Hindi dubbed version of Bahubali 2: The Conclusion by around Rs. 25 crore only. Pathaan started its third weekend by netting Rs. 5.90 crore (Hindi Rs. 5.75 crore; dubbed Rs. 0.15 crore) on Friday. Collections jumped to Rs. 11.25 crore (Hindi Rs. 11 crore; dubbed Rs. 0.25 crore) on Saturday, and further to Rs. 13 crore (Hindi Rs. 12.60 crore; dubbed Rs. 0.40 crore) on Sunday. After a total of Rs. 30.15 crore (Hindi Rs. 29.35 crore; dubbed Rs. 0.80 crore) in the third weekend, collections for the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 4.20 crore (Hindi Rs. 4.10 crore; dubbed Rs. 0.10 crore), Tuesday (Valentine’s Day) – Rs. 5.60 crore (Hindi Rs. 5.40 crore; dubbed Rs. 0.20 crore), Wednesday – Rs. 3.60 crore (Hindi Rs. 3.50 crore; dubbed Rs. 0.10 crore), Thursday – Rs. 3.40 crore (Hindi Rs. 3.30 crore; dubbed Rs. 0.10 crore). Therefore, the total for the weekdays was Rs. 16.80 crore (Hindi Rs. 16.30 crore; dubbed Rs. 0.50 crore). In this way, the film collected Rs. 46.95 crore (Hindi Rs. 45.65 crore; dubbed Rs. 1.30 crore) in the third week. Grand total for 3 weeks: Rs. 505.85 crore (Hindi Rs. 488.15 crore; dubbed Rs. 17.70 crore). It grossed around $3.65 million (Rs. 29.90 crore) Overseas in 3rd week, taking its grand total to $44.70 million (Rs. 366.50 crore). The film has become the highest Hindi grosser ever worldwide!

Jaggu Ani Juliet (Marathi) did fairly well only in a few big cities like Bombay, Thane and Pune in 1st week. It netted very ordinary collections in the rest of Maharashtra.

Aalay Mazya Rashila (Marathi) failed badly in 1st week all over Maharashtra.

Dhishkyaoon (Marathi) proved a debacle in 1st week in Maharashtra.

Vash (Gujarati) found appreciation in the major centres of Gujarat in 1st week for its novelty, performances and direction. It did not score much in smaller centres.

Karma (Gujarati) failed to make any mark whatsoever in the first week in Gujarat.

Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat met with a disastrous fate in 1st week all over.

Faraaz could not do anything worthwhile at the ticket windows in its first week.

Who Am I proved to be a debacle in 1st week.

Michael (dubbed) proved a total flop in the first week.

Daman (dubbed) was rejected by the audience in its first week.

The Woman King (dubbed) failed to get the audience to the cinemas in its first week, and turned out to be a major flop.

Pathaan continued to rule the box-office in its second week too. It netted a little less than Rs. 100 crore in its second week. After overtaking Dangal on the 11th day, its original Hindi version surpassed the Hindi dubbed version of K.G.F. Chapter 2 (Rs. 440 crore) on the last day of the second week. The only film the original Hindi version of Pathaan now needs to overtake is Bahubali 2: The Conclusion (Hindi dubbed Rs. 510 crore). Pathaan started its second weekend with a net collection of Rs. 14 crore (Rs. 13.50 crore for the Hindi version; Rs. 0.50 crore for the Tamil and Telugu dubbed versions). Collections on Saturday jumped to Rs. 23.25 crore (Hindi Rs. 22.50 crore; dubbed Rs. 0.75 crore). The total for Sunday was Rs. 28.50 crore (Hindi Rs. 27.50 crore; dubbed Rs. 1 crore). After a phenomenal second weekend total of Rs. 65.75 crore (Hindi Rs. 63.50 crore; dubbed Rs. 2.25 crore), collections for the weekdays were also excellent, considering especially the fact that it had already netted Rs. 429.90 crore (Hindi Rs. 414.50 crore; dubbed Rs. 15.40 crore) in the first 12 days (first week of nine days, second weekend of three days). Collections for the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 8.55 crore (Hindi Rs. 8.25 crore; dubbed Rs. 0.30 crore), Tuesday – Rs. 7.75 crore (Hindi Rs. 7.50 crore; dubbed Rs. 0.25 crore), Wednesday – Rs. 6.75 crore (Hindi Rs. 6.50 crore; dubbed Rs. 0.25 crore), Thursday – Rs. 5.95 crore (Hindi Rs. 5.75 crore; dubbed Rs. 0.20 crore). In this way, the total for the weekdays was a handsome Rs. 29 crore (Hindi Rs. 28 crore; dubbed Rs. 1 crore). Total for 2nd week: Rs. 94.75 crore (Hindi Rs. 91.50 crore; dubbed Rs. 3.25 crore). Grand total for 2 weeks: Rs. 458.90 crore (Hindi Rs. 442.50 crore; dubbed Rs. 16.40 crore). Its performance Overseas was also wonderful. It grossed an equivalent of Rs. 77.50 crore in 2nd week, taking the total for 2 weeks to an equivalent of Rs. 337 crore. In gross figures, the worldwide total for 2 weeks is an astounding Rs. 888 crore!

Gadad Andhar (Marathi) could not do anything worthwhile at the cinemas all over Maharashtra in its first week.

Pathaan surpassed each and every expectation and emerged as a blockbuster of epic proportions. It set new records on each of the nine days of the first week and thereby became the fastest ever grosser in the history of Hindi cinema. It crossed the Rs. 100-crore mark on the second day, the Rs. 200-crore mark on the fourth day, and the Rs. 300-crore mark on the sixth day. It netted Rs. 57 crore on the first day (Rs. 55 crore for the Hindi version; Rs. 2 crore for Tamil and Telugu dubbed versions), setting the record for the highest collections for a Hindi film on the opening day. Collections jumped to Rs. 70.50 crore (Hindi Rs. 68 crore; dubbed Rs. 2.50 crore) on the second day (Republic Day holiday). The third day’s (Friday) drop was not as much as was feared after the phenomenal collections of the first two days. The third day closed at Rs. 39.25 crore (Hindi Rs. 38 crore; dubbed Rs. 1.25 crore). Collections jumped to Rs. 53.25 crore (Hindi Rs. 51.50 crore; dubbed Rs. 1.75 crore) on the fourth day. The fifth day (Sunday) was again outstanding with a take of Rs. 60.75 crore (Hindi Rs. 58.50 crore; dubbed Rs. 2.25 crore). In this way, the first 5-day weekend’s total was an earth-shattering Rs. 280.75 crore (Hindi Rs. 271 crore; dubbed Rs. 9.75 crore). Collections for the weekdays were also excellent in spite of the film having collected so extraordinarily in the weekend: Monday – Rs. 26.50 crore (Hindi Rs. 25.50 crore; dubbed Rs. 1 crore), Tuesday – Rs. 23 crore (Hindi Rs. 22 crore; dubbed Rs. 1 crore), Wednesday – Rs. 18.25 crore (Hindi Rs. 17.50 crore; dubbed Rs. 0.75 crore), Thursday – Rs. 15.65 crore (Hindi Rs. 15 crore; dubbed Rs. 0.65 crore). With the total for the weekdays being Rs. 83.40 crore (Hindi Rs. 80 crore; dubbed Rs. 3.40 crore), the first week’s mind-boggling total was Rs. 364.15 crore (Hindi Rs. 351 crore; dubbed Rs. 13.15 crore). The film should easily overtake Dangal (Rs. 385 crore) today (Saturday, February 4, 11th day). If it nets Rs. 100 crore in 2nd week (which is a very big possibility), it will have overtaken the lifetime collections of K.G.F. Chapter 2 (Hindi dubbed). Comparing apples with apples, the Hindi version’s total of Pathaan could surpass the total of the Hindi dubbed version of K.G.F. Chapter 2. The only film that would remain to be outdone thereafter would be Bahubali 2: The Conclusion (Hindi dubbed). There are extremely bright chances that Pathaan (only Hindi version) will overtake the Rs. 510 crore of Bahubali 2: The Conclusion (Hindi dubbed) in its third week or its fourth weekend. Business abroad was also simply mind-numbing. On a fair estimate, it grossed an equivalent of Rs. 260 crore Overseas in the first 9-day week. It grossed Rs. 209.50 crore in the first five-day weekend, and another Rs. 50-plus crore during the weekdays!!

Gandhi Godse Ek Yudh proved a damp squib in 1st week all over India. Neither was its start on Thursday (26th January) impressive in spite of the Republic Day holiday nor were the collections thereafter encouraging.

Avatar: The Way Of Water (dubbed and original English versions) added Rs. 1.12 crore to its kitty in the seventh weekend, and another Rs. 0.62 crore during the weekdays. Total for 7th week: Rs. 1.74 crore. Grand total for 7 weeks: Rs. 376.03 crore.

Bamboo (Marathi) bombed in the first week all over Maharashtra.

Piccolo (Marathi) fared miserably in 1st week in Maharashtra.

Pathaan was off to a flying start on an odd day (Wednesday, January 25) in spite of it being a non-holiday. The film shattered records for the highest opening day, the highest two days, the biggest three days and the fastest Rs. 100-crore film. It has found such huge acceptance that it is poised to become the fastest Rs. 200-crore film and, probably, the speediest Rs. 300-crore film. It netted Rs. 57 crore on the first day (Rs. 55 crore for the Hindi version; Rs. 2 crore for the Tamil and Telugu versions combined), overtaking the Rs. 52.25 crore opening of Thugs Of Hindustan, the Rs. 53.35 crore initial of War and the Rs. 53.95 crore start of K.G.F. Chapter 2 (Hindi dubbed). The second day (Republic Day holiday) closed at an unbelievable Rs. 70.50 crore (Rs. 68 crore for the Hindi version; Rs. 2.50 crore for the South language versions), taking the two-day total to Rs. 127.50 crore! One would’ve expected the third day (Friday) to record a major fall after the phenomenal first two days but the drop was just around 36% as compared to the first day, and about 48% as compared to the second day. With the third day closing at Rs. 39.25 crore, the total for three days of the first five-day weekend is an earth-shattering Rs. 166.75 crore!! The spy thriller grossed $4.6 million on the opening day (January 25) Overseas. Collections on the second day totalled $3.8 million while for the third day, they totalled $5 million.

Gandhi Godse Ek Yudh could not make any mark whatsoever in spite of releasing on Republic Day (Thursday, January 26). Collections dropped even further, to pathetic levels, on the second day (Friday).

Zindagi Shataranj Hai failed miserably in the first week.

Junglemahal: The Awakening fared poorly in 1st week all over.

Akhanda (dubbed) proved to be a debacle in 1st week all over.

Puss In Boots: The Last Wish (dubbed and original English versions) could not do anything substantive in the first week. It netted Rs. 29 lakh on the opening day. Collections on Saturday jumped to Rs. 48 lakh, and further to Rs. 56 lakh on Sunday. After a first weekend of Rs. 1.33 crore, collections for the weekdays were: Monday – Rs. 12 lakh, Tuesday – Rs. 12 lakh, Wednesday – Rs. 5 lakh, Thursday – Rs. 14 lakh. Therefore, the total for the weekdays was Rs. 43 lakh. Total for 1st week: Rs. 1.76 crore.

Varisu (dubbed) dropped around 50% in 2nd week. The first day of the second weekend started with a take of Rs. 0.76 crore. Collections on Saturday were Rs. 0.73 crore. The total for Sunday was Rs. 0.99 crore. Hence the second weekend total was Rs. 2.48 crore. Collections for the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 0.34 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 0.27 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 0.04 crore (because of release of Pathaan), Thursday – Rs. 0.04 crore. With the total for the weekdays being a mere Rs. 0.68 crore, the total for the second week was Rs. 3.16 crore. Grand total for 2 weeks: Rs. 9.39 crore.

Avatar: The Way of Water (dubbed and the original English versions) added almost Rs. 7 crore to its kitty in the sixth week. The sixth weekend started with a net collection of Rs. 1.35 crore on Friday. Collections increased to Rs. 1.70 crore on Saturday, and further to Rs. 2 crore on Sunday. After a six weekend of Rs. 5.05 crore, collections for the weekdays were: Monday – Rs. 0.67 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 0.66 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 0.25 crore (due to extensive release of Pathaan), Thursday – Rs. 0.47 crore. In this way, the total for the weekdays was Rs. 2.05 crore. Therefore, the total for the sixth week was Rs. 7.10 crore. Grand total for 6 weeks: Rs. 374.29 crore.

Sarla Ek Koti (Marathi) failed to make the cut in 1st week all over Maharashtra.

Vaalvi (Marathi) did fair business in 2nd week in Maharashtra.

Kuttey faced rejection all over in 1st week. It started slow, picked up slightly at places on the second day, and then went on a downward spiral from day 3. The film will turn out to be a total loss at the box-office.

Lakadbaggha is a disaster. Its first week’s collections are pathetic.

Sachin – The Ultimate Winner is a loser at the ticket counters. Its performance on the box-office field all through the first week was horrific.

Varisu (dubbed) started slow but picked up in the next two days. However, its first week was not phenomenal as collections on the weekdays were ordinary. The first day closed at Rs. 0.81 crore. Collections almost doubled on the second day which, therefore, closed at Rs. 1.61 crore. The jump in collections on Sunday wasn’t much. The day ended at Rs. 1.68 crore. Therefore, the first weekend closed at Rs. 4.10 crore. Collections for the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 0.64 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 0.55 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 0.49 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.45 crore. Hence the total for the weekdays was Rs. 2.13 crore. Therefore, the total for the first week was Rs. 6.23 crore.

Waltair Veerayya (dubbed) lost the box-office game in the first week itself, recording terribly poor collections.

Avatar: The Way Of Water (dubbed and the original English versions) netted Rs. 1.21 crore on the first day of its fifth weekend. Collections on Saturday totalled Rs. 2.50 crore while on Sunday, the total was Rs. 2.60 crore. After a fifth weekend total of Rs. 6.31 crore, collections for the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 1 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 0.79 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 0.75 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.70 crore. In this way, the total for the weekdays was Rs. 3.24 crore. Hence the total for 5th week was Rs. 9.55 crore. Grand total for 5 weeks: Rs. 367.19 crore. It is now the biggest Hollywood blockbuster in India, having outdone Avengers: End Game which had netted Rs. 367 crore during its entire run.

Vaalvi (Marathi) did well only in pockets of Maharashtra in 1st week.

Victoria (Marathi) failed to make any mark in 1st week all over Maharashtra.

Saath Sobat (Marathi) met with a disastrous fate all over Maharashtra in its first week.

Ved (Marathi) crossed the Rs. 50-crore mark in 3rd week. Its grand total for 3 weeks stands at Rs. 50.50 crore.
