R.A.W. did fair business in the first week but its second week’s business will decide its box-office fate. It collected Rs. 5.35 crore on the opening day. Collections jumped 35%, to Rs. 7.25 crore on Saturday. The jump was partly due to the Gudi Padwa holiday. Collections on Sunday were Rs. 8.25 crore. Hence the first weekend closed at Rs. 20.85 crore. Collections during the weekdays were: Monday – Rs. 2.70 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 2.40 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 2.15 crore, Thursday – Rs. 1.90 crore. By adding Rs. 9.15 crore during the weekdays, it took its first week’s total to Rs. 30 crore.

No Fathers In Kashmir failed miserably in the first week in Bombay.

Shazam! (dubbed) and the Eng­lish original of the same name netted Rs. 3 crore on the first day. Collections increased 40% on the second day (Gudi Padwa holiday), to Rs. 4.20 crore. Collections on Sunday were Rs. 4.10 crore. In this way, the first weekend closed at Rs. 11.30 crore. Collections during the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 1.50 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 1.30 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 1.25 crore, Thursday – Rs. 1.15 crore. The film, therefore, collected Rs. 5.20 crore during the weekdays. Its first week’s total was Rs. 16.50 crore.

Junglee fell almost 90% in 2nd week. It collected only Rs. 0.40 crore on the second Friday. Its collections on Saturday were Rs. 0.65 crore, and on Sunday, Rs. 0.95 crore. In other words, it netted Rs. 2 crore in the second weekend. Its collections on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday were Rs. 0.30 crore, Rs. 0.28 crore, Rs. 0.27 crore, and Rs. 0.25 crore respectively. By netting Rs. 1.10 crore during the weekdays, the film took its 2nd week’s total to Rs. 3.10 crore. Grand total for 2 weeks: Rs. 24.30 crore. The film will entail losses to its producers/distributors.

Kesari collected Rs. 1.60 crore on the first day of the third weekend. Collections increased to Rs. 2.60 crore on Saturday, and further to Rs. 3.25 crore on Sunday, taking the third weekend’s total to Rs. 7.45 crore. Its collections in the weekdays were: Monday – Rs. 1 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 0.95 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 0.95 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.95 crore. By adding Rs. 3.85 crore in the week­ days, the film took its third week’s total to Rs. 11.30 crore. Its grand total for 3 weeks went up to Rs. 146.76 crore.

Badla netted Rs. 1.65 crore in the fifth weekend and another Rs. 0.80 crore in the weekdays. By netting a total of Rs. 2.45 crore in the fifth week, it has taken its 5-week total to Rs. 86.13 crore.

Marjaavaan did very well in the first weekend, after which collections were just about fair. It opened to good houses and netted Rs. 7.03 crore on the first day. The increase in collections on Saturday was minimal so that the day closed at Rs. 7.21 crore. But the jump in collections was very good on Sunday due to which the day closed at Rs. 10.18 crore. In this way, the film netted Rs. 24.42 crore. Collections during the weekdays were: Monday – Rs. 4.15 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 3.61 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 3.16 crore, Thursday – Rs. 2.53 crore. By adding Rs. 13.45 crore to its kitty in the weekdays, the film took its first week’s total to Rs. 37.87 crore. It will be a good earning proposal, considering that its satellite, digital and audio rights have fetched good revenues.

Motichoor Chaknachoor met with a disastrous fate. It started with a total figure of just Rs. 0.30 crore on Friday. Collections on Saturday (Rs. 0.50 crore) and Sunday (Rs. 0.55 crore) were also low. In this way, it netted only Rs. 1.35 crore in the first weekend. It collected Rs. 0.20 crore on each of the four weekdays. With a total collection of Rs. 0.80 crore in the weekdays, it took its grand total for 1st week to a dismal Rs. 2.15 crore.

Marrne Bhi Do Yaaron faced rejection in its first week.

Jhalki could not make any mark whatsoever in the first week.

Bagpat Ka Dulha did poor business in 1st week.

Lafange Nawab fared poorly in the first week in Bombay as well as Delhi-U.P.

Keep Safe Distance recorded miserable collections in the first week in Bombay and Rajasthan circuits.

Charlie’s Angels (dubbed) and the English original of the same name could do ordinary business in its first week.

Bala added Rs. 26.56 crore to its kitty in 2nd week. It started the second weekend with a take of Rs. 3.76 crore on Friday. Collections almost doubled to Rs. 6.73 crore on Saturday. The figure for Sunday was an impressive Rs. 8.01 crore so that the second weekend closed at Rs. 18.50 crore. The figures for the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 2.25 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 2.05 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 1.96 crore, Thursday – Rs. 1.80 crore. By adding Rs. 8.06 crore to its kitty in the weekdays, the film took its 2nd week’s total to Rs. 26.56 crore. Therefore, its total for 2 weeks went up to Rs. 98.79 crore. It is one more Ayushmann starrer to be joining the Rs. 100-crore club!

Housefull 4 collected Rs. 2.55 crore in the fourth weekend, thereby joining the Rs. 200-crore club. It netted Rs. 1.25 crore in the weekdays and hence took its total for week 4 to Rs. 3.80 crore. Grand total for 4 weeks: Rs. 201.92 crore.

War completed 50 days of its run at 57 cinemas of the country on Wednesday, 20th November (as it was released on Wednesday, October 2).

Fatteshikast (Marathi) did extremely well in 1st week in Bombay, Thane district and other centres of Maharashtra.

Raanu (Marathi) failed to impress the public in 1st week in Bombay city.

Khari Biscuit (Marathi) scored well in the third week too in Bombay, Thane district and the rest of Maharashtra.

Hirkani (Marathi) did excellent in 4th week too. Its collections in Bombay, Thane district and other stations of Maharashtra were superb.

Hellaro (Gujarati) continued to score very well in 2nd week also, in Gujarat and Saurashtra.

Malaal failed to entertain the audi­ence, and went largely unnoticed. It started on a very slow note and picked up only a bit during the first week­end but collections came down again during the weekdays. It opened at just Rs. 0.45 crore. Collections increased to Rs. 0.55 crore on Saturday, and to Rs. 0.80 crore on Sunday, taking the first weekend’s total to Rs. 1.80 crore only. Collection figures during the weekdays were miserable: Rs. 0.27 crore on Monday, Rs. 0.20 crore on each of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. In this way, the film netted Rs. 0.87 crore in the weekdays, taking its first week’s total to a measly Rs. 2.67 crore. The love story, starring two newcomers in the lead roles, has turned out to be a debacle.

One Day met with a disastrous fate in its first week.

Marudhar Express faced comp­lete rejection in the first week.

Hume Tumse Pyaar Kitna recorded pathetic collections in 1st week.

Spider-Man: Far From Home (dubbed) and the English original of the same name as also the dubbed South (Tamil and Telugu) versions did very well in the first week. The film netted Rs. 10.05 crore on Thursday (paid previews). Collections dropped around 15% on Friday (Rs. 8.79 crore) but shot up to Rs. 12.41 crore on Saturday, and further to Rs. 15.41 crore on Sunday. It, therefore, collected a total of Rs. 46.66 crore in the 4-day weekend. Collections on the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 4.75 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 3.05 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 3.25 crore, Thursday – Rs. 3.35 crore. In other words, the film added Rs. 14.40 crore to its kitty during the weekdays, taking the total for 1st week to Rs. 61.06 crore. This is the highest collection for a Spider-Man film in India.

Article 15 maintained very well in its second week, adding a handsome Rs. 17.80 crore to its kitty. The film netted Rs. 2.50 crore on the first day of the second weekend. Collections jumped to Rs. 4 crore on Saturday, and even more, to Rs. 5.25 crore on Sunday. After a second weekend total of Rs. 11.75 crore, the film managed decent collections in the weekdays too: Monday – Rs. 1.90 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 1.25 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 1.40 crore, Thursday – Rs. 1.50 crore. It, therefore, added Rs. 6.05 crore to its kitty during the weekdays and hence took the total for the second week to Rs. 17.80 crore. The grand total for 2 weeks was Rs. 51.96 crore.

Annabelle Comes Home (dubbed) and the English original faced a steep fall in collections in 2nd week. It netted Rs. 0.55 crore on the second Friday, Rs. 0.90 crore on the second Satur­day, and Rs. 1.10 crore on the second Sunday. It, therefore, collected Rs. 2.55 crore in the second weekend.  Collections during the weekdays were: Monday – Rs. 0.38 crore, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday – Rs. 0.30 crore each day. Therefore, it netted Rs. 1.28 crore during the weekdays and thereby took its total for the second week to Rs. 3.83 crore. Its grand total for 2 weeks went up to Rs. 29.08 crore.

Kabir Singh did fantastic business in the third week too. It is now app­roaching the Rs. 250-crore mark. The third weekend started with an impressive Rs. 5.40 crore on Friday. Collections jumped to Rs. 7.51 crore on Saturday, and further to Rs. 9.61 crore on Sunday, taking the third weekend’s total to Rs. 22.52 crore. Collections during the weekdays were: Monday – Rs. 4.25 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 3.20 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 3.11 crore, Thursday – Rs. 3.32 crore. So, it added Rs. 13.88 crore to its kitty in the weekdays, taking its third week’s total to Rs. 36.40 crore and the 3-week grand total to Rs. 249.60 crore.

Takatak (Marathi) continued its vic­tory march in 2nd week too in Bom­bay, Thane district and other stations of Maharashtra.

Shadaa(Punjabi) added Rs. 2.65 crore to its kitty in 3rd week. Its total for 3 weeks went up to Rs. 28.45 crore.

PM Narendra Modi could not do much in its first week and although it got a boost due to Modi’s election victory a day before its release, the overall collections were not exciting enough. It started slow with a take of Rs. 2.35 crore. Collections increased to Rs. 3.25 crore on Saturday, and further to Rs. 4.65 crore on Sunday. After a weekend of Rs. 10.25 crore, the collections for the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 2 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 1.75 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 1.50 crore, Thursday – Rs. 1.15 crore. By adding Rs. 6.40 crore during the weekdays, it took its total to Rs. 16.65 crore.

India’s Most Wanted, as expected, faced rejection from the public in the first week. It netted a meagre Rs. 1.75 crore on the opening day. Collections on Saturday and Sunday were hardly impressive – Rs. 2.50 crore and Rs. 3 crore respectively. With the weekend closing at Rs. 7.25 crore, it was clear that the film had no future, and collections during the weekdays only proved that: Monday – Rs. 0.95 crore, Tuesday – Rs. – 0.85 crore, Wed­nesday – Rs. 0.70 crore, Thurs­day – Rs. 0.35 crore. By adding Rs. 2.85 crore in the weekdays, the film took its first week’s total to an unexciting Rs. 10.10 crore.

Yeh Hai India proved a debacle in 1st week.

On The Ramp Never Ending Show failed to show strength at the box-office in the first week.

Kadke Kamaal Ke did anything but kamaal at the ticket windows. It fared miserably in 1st week.

Aladdin(dubbed) did quite well in the first week. It netted Rs. 4.15 crore on the first day. Collections picked up on Saturday (Rs. 6.35 crore) and Sunday (Rs. 7.50 crore) so that the first weekend closed at Rs. 18 crore. The collections maintained well during the weekdays: Monday – Rs. 3.50 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 3.15 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 3 crore, Thursday – Rs. 2.50 crore. Adding Rs. 12.15 crore in the weekdays, it took its first week’s total to Rs. 30.15 crore.

De De Pyaar De fared better in its second week than the two Bollywood releases of last week did in their first week. It started its second weekend with a net collection of Rs. 3 crore. Collections on Saturday (Rs. 4.50 crore) and Sunday (Rs. 5.35 crore) were impressive. The total for the sec­ond weekend was Rs. 12.85 crore. Collections for the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 2.50 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 2.20 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 2 crore, Thursday – Rs. 1.70 crore. In other words, it added Rs. 8.40 crore to its kitty in the weekdays. Its total for the second week was Rs. 21.25 crore. The grand total for 2 weeks went up to Rs. 76.90 crore.

Student Of The Year 2 netted only Rs. 1.50 crore in its third week. Its total for 3 weeks is Rs. 64.90 crore.

Avengers: Endgame (dubbed) and the English original of the same name added Rs. 3.20 crore to its kitty in its fifth week. Its grand total for 5 weeks was Rs. 370.30 crore.

The Tashkent Files completed 50 days of its run yesterday (May 31) when it entered 8th week – a rare feat for a small film.

Judgement (Marathi) failed to make any mark in the first week in Bombay, Thane district and other centres of Maharashtra.
