A total of 18 Gujarati films will get the Gujarat government’s subsidy soon due to the efforts made by the Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association. It was thanks to the IMPPA that the Gujarat government formulated the Quality Integrated Promotion Policy for Gujarati Films 2019 to provide financial assistance to Gujarati films. The films eligible for subsidy under the policy are selected on the basis of evaluation by a screening committee.
The 18 films which should soon be receiving the subsidy are Lucky Lockdown, Shabash, Gandhi Ni Bakri, JovaJevi Thai, AdkoDadko, Hath Taali, Mane Laija, Rahil, Love You Papa, Parichaya, Mare Shu?, Hun Tari Heer, Madhav, Nayikadevi: The Warrior Queen, Gujarat Thi New Jersey, Pentagon, Lakhmi and 2G Apartments. In total, a sum of Rs. 3.52 crore will be disbursed among the producers of the 18 aforementioned films.
