Around 65 lakh people saw films in cinemas across the country on 23rd September when the film industry observed the National Cinema Day. Tickets were sold at a fixed price of Rs. 75 throughout the day, leading to a huge rise in footfalls. More than 4,000 multiplexes and single-screen cinemas took part in the initiative to thank the public for returning to the cinemas after the Coronavirus pandemic lockdowns.
