Released last week in U.P. (at Kanpur), Good Look Entertainment and Kamayabi Pictures’ Aadesh (UA) is the story of an upright police officer. Aadesh Mehta (Irfan Sheikh) comes as a saviour in a village in Uttar Pradesh, which is deprived of male children. An evil Thakur (Ali Khan) kills every male child in the village because he doesn’t have an heir.
Deepak Yadav’s story and screenplay are ridiculous and fail to move the viewers. The drama is so insipid that nothing about it engages the audience. As for Deepak Yadav’s dialogues, the less said, the better.
Irfan Sheikh is average as Aadesh Mehta. Ali Khan does an ordinary job as the Thakur. Arvind Yadav, Meet Kamal, Ekta Singh, Nitin Chopra, Shiv Mohan and Ajay Sharma lend routine support. Others are barely passable.
Ravi Sharma’s direction and camerawork are both dull. Deepak Bajpai’s music hardly elevates the proceedings. Lyrics (by Sashikant Tiwari and J.P. Raj Kamal) are nothing to shout about. Chandan’s choreography is functional. Paranshu Raj’s background music is dull. Ashok Lal Yadav’s action and stunt scenes are devoid of thrill. Rakesh Mahto’s editing leaves a lot to be desired.
On the whole, Aadesh is an apology of a film with almost nil chances at the box-office.
