Actor Ajaz Khan is under the lens of the customs officials after they arrested an employee of his on October 8 for allegedly ordering narcotics from a European country. The employee, Suraj Gaud, had mentioned Ajaz’s office at Andheri in Bombay as the address for delivery. The parcel contained 100 gms. of mephedrone worth Rs. 30 lakh, and it was seized.
Officials have arrested Gaud and booked him under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. He will be produced in court today (October 9). The role of the actor in the episode will be investigated. Ajaz was not in the office on 8th during the search operation. He also did not attend office thereafter. His cell phone was switched off.
It may be mentioned here that Ajaz was arrested in 2021 after contraband was allegedly found with him during a search by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).
