Actor-producer-director Vishal Anand, also known as Bhisham Kohli, breathed his last on 4th October in Bombay due to a prolonged illness. He had acted in films like Chalte Chalte and Taxi Driver. Chalte Chalte was also produced by him.
He was discovered by Devi Sharma who launched him in Hamara Adhikar (1970). The other films he had acted in were Sa-Re-Ga-Ma-Pa, Intezaar, Hindustan Ki Kasam, Dil Se Mile Dil (also produced and directed by him), Kismet (directed by him) and Maine Jeena Sikh Liya.
Vishal Anand was the nephew of Dev Anand and Vijay Anand.
